Old people are stubborn

So my grand mother lives with me, and has for I'd say...Roughly 3 years now...She usually goes to Greece for the winter...but due to her health she's decided to stay with us.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not mean to her on any sense...but some of the things she says to my Mom are just ridiculous.

Lately she's been having gas problems, meaning she's been holding in her farts because she gets embarrassed. So my mom has been giving her pills that will force her to fart and trying to explain to her what exactly is wrong with her. So my grandma, as stubborn as she is thinks she has depression because she's been upset because she's not feeling good.....So my mom tries to explain to her that she's not depressed she is just actually sick. After a few trips to the doctor (getting tests done) they found nothing wrong with my grandma....So tonight when I got home from school, my mom was explaining to her (in Greek so the translation isn't always 100%)

So my mom was telling her that she has gas...and my grandma was yelling at my mom telling me that there is something wrong with her, so my moms just telling her its all in her head....But my grandma refuse to believe that she's "losing her mind" i guess....but none the less it's just annoying to hear some of the things she said...

So she is having gas and bloating *hiccups and such*, so my mom made her call my Aunt ( in Greece) and on the phone they were saying that absolutely nothing is wrong with her...and that the doctor even said that.....And my grandma as silly as she is...says that her friend said she is sick so the doctor is wrong

Which brings me to the fact...Old people are stubborn...well at least my grandmother is....extremely stubborn lol. and for some reason...refuses to believe that she is okay....even though medically there is nothing wrong

Getting Drunk

Now this was a while ago but since I just found out about the blog I figured I would write about it today.

One night me and my step dad were on the way back home from a Raptor game, and we over heard a conversation and couldn't believe some of the things that were said. I'd say the guys were maybe 19 or 20 (University Sweaters on) but....not the smartest kids in their classes if you know what I mean. They were talking about Drinking....and wow the things that they said. One of the guys said that every time he drinks he feels like he needs to apologize to a bunch of people the next day because he has NO idea of what had happened the night before...

Now I'm not saying I'm against drinking or partying, don't get me wrong it's fun and I love to do it too....But I mean, every time that someone drinks they shouldn't have to be apologizing to someone the next day for doing something stupid. I mean.....sure once in a while get drunk enough to the point where you can not remember a thing...But to do that every time you drink....is a problem.

Now to the next point...the language that these guys were using on the subway was just..disgusting!! I mean, I know it's public and all, but you think they'd have some respect for the other passengers on the subway. Every 3 or 4 words were swearing, and with kids around...it's just not acceptable.

My absolute favourite part of this......how they talked about girls...you could tell they were so blatantly lying about getting with a different girl at every party...Mostly because of the things they said they did with the girls...Sure some females have become "Adventurous" but I mean....(not repeating anything) it's just funny when you hear some people talk about the silliest things....that even you can tell are not true.

I can't believe it's butter!

This conversation was heard by me on the subway the other day

Person A - I was cooking the other day and I found a new way to make eggs
B - How?
A - When you're cooking them you should fry the eggs in butter
B - Isn't that what you're always supposed to do?
A - I don't know...my mom's always done it for me
B - So basically you can't cook....
A- No no i can cook, i just didn't know!!! don't be an a**
B- wow don't get so worked up....it's not like it's a big deal that you can't cook
A - Well it's not my fault my parents did stuff for me
B - Well I guess it's their fault you're an idiot
A - Shut up *walks away from the person*

I found it funny how A actually got mad at B...but I mean come on...how can you not know how to cook eggs?!....And from saying something stupid about food...led to an actual fight

The strange Conversation

This is a conversation I "Eavesdropped" on between my mother and my cousin (I love speaker phone)

So they were talking about my cousin coming to Canada in the summer from Greece, and he was saying that he want's to come in November so he can go to clubs with me (I'll be 19), and my mom laughed and said if that is going to stop him. He said he knows what she means. And I just found it amusing because as sneaky as I try to be... I guess my mom really knows what I do. lol
