So my grand mother lives with me, and has for I'd say...Roughly 3 years now...She usually goes to Greece for the winter...but due to her health she's decided to stay with us.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not mean to her on any sense...but some of the things she says to my Mom are just ridiculous.
Lately she's been having gas problems, meaning she's been holding in her farts because she gets embarrassed. So my mom has been giving her pills that will force her to fart and trying to explain to her what exactly is wrong with her. So my grandma, as stubborn as she is thinks she has depression because she's been upset because she's not feeling good.....So my mom tries to explain to her that she's not depressed she is just actually sick. After a few trips to the doctor (getting tests done) they found nothing wrong with my grandma....So tonight when I got home from school, my mom was explaining to her (in Greek so the translation isn't always 100%)
So my mom was telling her that she has gas...and my grandma was yelling at my mom telling me that there is something wrong with her, so my moms just telling her its all in her head....But my grandma refuse to believe that she's "losing her mind" i guess....but none the less it's just annoying to hear some of the things she said...
So she is having gas and bloating *hiccups and such*, so my mom made her call my Aunt ( in Greece) and on the phone they were saying that absolutely nothing is wrong with her...and that the doctor even said that.....And my grandma as silly as she is...says that her friend said she is sick so the doctor is wrong
Which brings me to the fact...Old people are stubborn...well at least my grandmother is....extremely stubborn lol. and for some reason...refuses to believe that she is okay....even though medically there is nothing wrong

It's usually the opposite. People don't want to believe there is something wrong. The thing is, not only kids and teens seek out negative attention. It happens with all ages. And no, not all old people are stubborn. Stubbornness is a character trait, not an age thing. :)
